Today I looked up the word passion and found these meanings.

Passion [pash-uh n]

  1. any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling, as love or hate.
  2. strong feeling or desire; love; ardor.
  3. strong sexual desire; lust.
  4. an instance or experience of strong love or sexual desire.
  5. a person toward whom one feels strong love or sexual desire.
  6. a strong or extravagant fondness, enthusiasm, or desire for anything
  7. the object of such a fondness or desire

I have a passion for God/Jesus.

  1. Yes, it’s a powerful and compelling (absorbing, enthralling) emotion of feeling of love for Him.
  2. Yes, it’s strong amorous (affectionate) feeling of desire (longing, craving), love and ardor (enthusiasm) for Him.
  3. No, strong sexual desire, but I could see how some people would think that especially since passion can be express through sexual desire.
    1. Lust (hunger, thirst) Yes, I hunger and thirst for God.
  4. Yes, I experience a strong love for and from God.

I think I might have made my point.

I don’t know of any other way to explain my love for Him. I know my way of expressing/writing about my love for Him can be mistaken for something else. My feelings are so new, powerful, and unexplainable. It can be frustrating to talk about it. Single words like passion, fire, flame, burning, spark, a roar, and love don’t even touch what I feel. As I sit here writing, I have an overpowering feeling deep inside of me that I want to share with everyone.  I want what I have for God, for everyone. I never was a person to explain myself very well with words especially with talking…

It’s a good thing that God see the real me and my heart.

Take what you need and leave the rest. Love and Peace.
