How I See It

How I see it

No man or woman is perfect.
The church is a body of believers (men and women) who are not perfect.
Therefore it could be said that no church is perfect.
God tells us we live under grace
But he also tells us we are to obey and teach others to obey his teachings
Therefore, a church lives under grace but are to still obey God

God tells us not to conform to this world
But he also tells us to follow the laws of man
God tells us to love him and to love people
My first responsibility is to God; loving and obeying him
But within that responsibility, I am to love people and teach them about God.
I’m to teach God hates the sin, but loves people and offers grace
I’m to lift people up and not push them down
I’m to speak boldly about God but be humble in mind and body,
Because I am a sinner just like everyone else in the world,
But I am not to conform to this world of sin
I am to do my best every day to obey God
I am to keep the spirit of God’s laws in my heart, mind, and body
I am to follow the laws of man for as long as they do not disobey God’s laws
I am to filter all words and actions through the love of God and the love of people

I live under grace bought by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus
I am a Christian, a follower of Christ
I am called to be more than who I was the day before and serve the Lord
That is how I see it

Matthew 28:18-20:
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
