“Trust Me,” He Says

“Trust Me,” He Says

A whispered prayer on the heart
A voice in the within
Silent needs to depart
Holding out His hand
Telling me I can

“Trust me,” He says
I see it within His eyes
I feel it in my soul
But a fear has a hold
It has control

I want to take the step
I want to open my lips
I want to, my soul says to
But my head says
trust is hard to give

So, He waits on me
Patiently and lovingly
With an outstretched hand
Devotedly helping me to bring
the brokenness to a mend

He says I am not alone
He shows me His heart
Within His words
I find strength, courage
To face the day

Whatever others would say
I know a love within
One that sits in the brokenness
Holding my hand
A love that will never end

There is so much more to say
But for now, it is okay
Because Jesus is holding
Out his hand…
Trusting Him, I am

Psalm 34:18-19, 22
“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all —. The LORD will rescue his servants; no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.”
