The Call to Stand on The Battleground

I am called to stand on the battleground
where I must put on the Armor of God
to fight the battle with the evil one
who calls right as wrong and wrong as right

My feet are fitted with the gospel
of peace making, not peace keeping
I am not a “doormat,” and neither is God.

The breastplate that covers my heart
is the love of righteousness,
justice, honesty, and decency

I am commissioned to pick-up
the sword of truth (the Word of God)
and laid down my pride of myself

I am summoned to put on my helmet
and know Jesus is where my salvation comes from

It is with my shield of faith
that I am authorized to defend,
“I AM, who I am”

I must stand on the battleground
out of love for God and others.
Not out of hate, jealousy, or pride

I stand on the battleground
as a warrior for God
and not as a warrior for myself

I am sanctified to kneel on the battleground
and put on the power of God
without a fear for myself

Some would think the battleground is far away,
but the battleground begins in my mind and heart.

The battleground is in the home, the workplace,
And everywhere in between
Including God’s place in the church

The battleground is not a place to stand alone
But in unity, hand in hand with all God’s people
Fighting for the ones we love

Will you stand on the battleground with me?

Put on the Armor of God - Female" – Celestial Heritage Art

Ephesians 6:10-18 The Armor of God
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
